Mr. Mohsin Khalid
Chairman BoD-IESCO
Mr. Mohsin Khalid is the Managing Director of Ittehad Steel Ltd, a large conglomerate with interests in Steel, Private Power, Logistics, Automobiles and the hospitality Industry. He is a former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, being the youngest elected President in the nations' history. Mr. Khalid has been a member of the IESCO Board since 2001. He has also been a Director on the Governing Board of the Islamabad Stock Exchange. He is Chair of FBR's Alternate Dispute Resolution Committee, and been a Member of HEC National Curriculum Development Committee and FBR's Income Tax Advisory Committee.
Mr. Khalid has had various speaking engagements at Wilton Park, the FNST International Academy of Leadership and the Frasier Institute focusing on entrepreneurship and corporate leadership in developing economies.
Mr. Mohsin Khalid holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Boston University and is a graduate of the National Defence University's National Security Workshop. Being the longest serving Director of BOD –IESCO, his nomination on IESCO Board of Directors was again made by Government of Pakistan in February – 2011.
Mr. Javed Parvez

Eng. Javed Parvez is working as Chief Executive Officer, Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) since Apr, 2010. He is a Graduate Electrical Engineer from Engineering University Peshawar. He joined WAPDA as Junior Engineer in 1975. During his illustrious career, he served almost all major disciplines of Power Engineering in WADPA / PEPCO Viz. Distribution, Grid System Operation (GSO) and Grid System Construction (GSC). He served as distinctive faculty member of WAPDA Staff College, Islamabad. In senior positions, he remained S.E (Operations) Circle Sargodha, FESCO, S.E (Opr) Circle Mardan PESCO, Project Director (GSC) IESCO/PESCO, Chief Engineer (GSO) NTDC and General Manager (SO) NPCC.
He also attended various Professional Courses and Trainings in country and abroad such as Distribution Service Course from USA, Technical Training Course from WAPDA Engineering Academy Faisalabad, Commercial Training WAPDA Training Institute Lahore. He is also Position holder in Senior Management Course, WAPDA Staff College Islamabad. He officially visited USA, England, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Iran, Switzerland, Dubai, Thailand and China.
Recognizing his meritorious performance, he was given Cash Award by Chairman WAPDA in year 1980 with Commendation Letter and also a Cash Award by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Mr. Amjad Ali Khan

Mr. Amjad Ali Khan, an officer of the District Management Group in BS-22, assumed the charge of the office of Federal Secretary Ministry of Privatisation on January 16, 2012. Prior to this he has served as Federal Secretary in the Ministries of Inter Provincial Coordination, Wafaqi Mohtasib and Overseas Pakistanis.
He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Punjab University Lahore as well as a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Virginia Commonwealth University, USA.
Amjad has also worked as Executive Director National Vocational & Technical Education Commission P.M Secretariat, Director General of the Civil Services Academy, Lahore and Board of Investment, Secretary Home & Tribal affairs and Education Departments, Balochistan and Managing Director Sarhad Tourism Corporation. Further, over the past three decades he has served on numerous field and secretariat assignments in the Federal and Provincial governments.
In the discharge of his official functions, he has had occasions to participate in a number of international and local Conferences/ Workshops Seminars etc.
Mr. Asjad Imtiaz Ali

Mr. Asjad Imtiaz Ali is currently serving as Chief Engineering Advisor/Chairman Federal Flood Commission since January 24, 2011. He also holds positions of following International and National bodies:
- Chairman, Pakistan National Committee on Irrigation & Drainage (PANCID).
- Chairman, Pakistan National Committee on Large Dams (PANCOLD).
- Chairman, Dams Safety Council.
He has been the Member Technical for the year 2010-2011 and Chief Engineer (Floods) during the period 2003-2010. He has extensive experience of affiliations with all projects related to irrigation, drainage, dams, flood control, and power and rendering technical advice to the Ministry of Water and Power.
He has extensive knowledge of maintaining liaison and interaction with international organizations regarding various matters related to Ministry of Water & Power. Besides he has vast experience of dealing with:
a) Projects related to flood works, planning and management of all donors aided and Government of Pakistan funded flood related projects.
b) Technical and Financial Scrutiny of all flood related projects including Monitoring/supervision of the scheme during execution.
One of the areas where emphasis has been given is the flood warning and disaster relief related activities for the entire country. Coordination among various Provincial and Federal Government Department, Line Agencies regarding floods also falls within the purview of this work. Coordination with lending/donor agencies i.e. World Bank, Asian Development Bank, JBIC and bilated aid agencies has also been the major part of outstanding career of Mr. Asjad. He has also attended various training/courses at USA and Pakistan.
He is a Civil Engineer by profession and holds BS. Civil Engineering, (Degree) M.E.T.U., Ankara (Turkey) and specialization in Water Resources, Construction Management (Germany). His nomination on IESCO Board of Directors was made by Government of Pakistan in February – 2011.
Mr. Hamid Ali Khan

Mr. HAMID ALI KHAN is currently serving as Additional Secretary in Ministry of Water & Power, Government of Pakistan. He is supervising the administrative, financial and technical matters of the Ministry, IRSA, CEA/CFFC, PCIW, NPCC, NESPAK, WAPDA, PEPCO, DISCOs, GENCOs, PPIB and AEDB. Mr.Hamid Ali Khan is also Director of the BOD NESPAK,BOD NPCC,BOD State Engineering Corporation (SEC).He Served As Deputy Commissioner in three Districts, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, DCO Rawalpindi, Secretary local government, Government of Punjab, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Interior and as Project Director in various projects. He has extensive knowledge / experience in the field of law & order, judicial work, execution & monitoring of different projects in various sectors such as education, health, agriculture,& live stock, and dairy development, environment, clean drinking water, sanitation, construction of roads & protection bunds, mini dams, rehabilitation of water courses, preparation of development budget & financial management, conduct of rescue relief & rehabilitation operation in various emergencies including earth Quick & flood.
Mr. Farid Rehman

Mr. Farid Rahman is a Member of the National Economic Council. He also a member of the Board of Directors/ Board of Governors of a number of Public and private organizations, involved in public welfare and socio-economic development. These include: The Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute for Science and Technology, (GIK), Society for the Promotion of Engineering Science and Technology In Pakistan ( SOPREST), Mahbub Haq Centre for Human Development,(HDC), Devolution Trust for Community Empowerment (DTCE), National Oversight Disaster Management Council (NODMC).
Mr. Rahman has been a Senior Adviser to the United Nations Organization and the World Bank in Pakistan, advising on social and development issues. In the aftermath of the Earthquake of October 2005, he was especially assigned by the UN to advise the Chairman ERRA in setting up the new organization and helping in policy formulation and managing donor relations. Mr. Farid Rahman was formerly the Minister for Finance, Planning and Development and Local Government, in the Government of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan. In this capacity he supervised the formulation and implementation of the Provincial Reform Programme, whilst building the provinces economic and infrastructure base, resource base and improving fiscal responsibility. In his capacity as Minister for Local Government , Mr Rahman implemented the new System of Local Government in the Province focusing on fiscal devolution and decentralized decision making.
Mr. Rahman served the United Nations' for 24 years, in several senior positions with a distinguished record of service. Mr. Rahman headed UNICEF operations as Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa and supervised UNICEF assistance, in 16 country offices covering the Islamic World. In this capacity he worked closely with the Organization Of Islamic Conference, (OIC), League of Arab States, The Islamic Development Bank, international institutions and Regional Councils of Ministers.
As Representative for China & Mongolia, he managed UNICEF's major Country Programmes of assistance, making contributions to China's national development, particularly in social sectors and development of backward regions. In Sudan, he lead the UNICEF's largest disaster relief operations in Africa, especially, launched as "Operation Life Line Sudan", to combat Sudan's worst famine in recent history. After Sudan's default on its IMF and WB obligations, he negotiated a special debt relief package for the country with international donors.
As Representative to Sri Lanka, he assisted the government in developing a strategy to combat poverty and in expanding services to the population displaced by the Mahaveli Ganga Irrigation project and to tea and rubber plantation workers. He also supervised the pioneering study on the impact of structural adjustment on the poor which contributed to UN's global discourse with the IMF and the
W on "Adjustment with a Human Face".
While at UN Headquarters in New York, he was Director of the Planning and Evaluation Office , with responsibilities for planning and oversight of UNICEF global programmes.
Prior to joining the United Nations, Mr Rahman was member of the Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) , and served the Government of Pakistan in various capacities including Director of West Pakistan's Rural Work's Programme, Addl. Secretary Planning Dept, NWFP and Assistant Commissioner Hangu..
Mr. Rahman, was awarded The Order of the Two Niles (High civil award) by the President of Sudan. He also received Meritorious Commendations for his services from the Governments of China and Mongolia. Mr. Rahman holds postgraduate Degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) He has a Law Degree and Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Peshawar. He is a Fellow of the Special Programme for Urban and Regional Studies at MIT.
Lt. Gen (R) Muhammad Asghar

The career of Engineer Muhammad Asghar (Lt. Gen. ®) spans over 38 years of active military service, planning and administration of higher education, infrastructural development, and managerial/organizational positions. He possesses the experience necessary both to develop and administer programmes that are progressive, sustainable and result oriented, across military and civilian domains. His academic qualifications include:-
- Masters in War Studies, Quaid-e-Azam University.
- Masters in Military Art and Science, USA.
- Bachelor in Civil Engineering.
- Diploma in Mapping, Charting and Geodesy from Defence Mapping School, USA.
- Diploma in Arabic Language from National University of Modern Languages, Islamabad.

Mr. Tariq Sadiq

Mr. Sheikh Tariq Sadiq is the Chief Executive Sihala Flour Mills (Pvt) Ltd, Sector I/9, Islamabad and Managing Director of Puthwar Industries (Pvt) Ltd. Being a renowned Businessman and venerable Industrialist he was elected as the President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Islamabad for the year 2004. He is also a Life Member of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry. He holds a Master Degree in Economics (1972). He has extensive experience of affiliation with the various Industries. He is an active member of various Trade organizations and is a former Chairman of Pakistan Flour Mills Association. He was nominated on the IESCO Board of Directors as Member in June, 2005 and subsequently selected as Chairman Board of Directors IESCO and held the said position till November -2010. Now his nomination on IESCO BoD was again made by Government of Pakistan in February-2011.
Mr. Yassar Sakhi Butt

Mr. Yassar Sakhi Butt holds Bachelor Degree in Business Finance from Holborn Law and Business School, London and is the Executive Director of SAS Group. It is a family owned business enterprise established in 1958. The Group under his able guidance, has diversified into the fields of Construction, Hospitality, Poultry Breeding, Medical Services, Renewable Energy, and Pharmaceuticals & Gas Stations.
He has been elected as the President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industries for the year 2011-2012. He is also former Vice President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industries (1994).
His nomination as IESCO Board of Director was made by the Government of Pakistan October, 2011.
Dr. Sania Nishtar

Sania Nishtar is the founder and president of the NGO think tank, Heartfile, which today is the most powerful health policy voice in Pakistan and is recognized as a model for replication in other developing countries. Her areas of interests are health systems, global health, broader issues of governance and public private relationships.
In Pakistan her pioneering work in the health sector has inspired new initiatives and has shaped policies on health reform and non communicable diseases. She is also the founder of Pakistan's Health Policy Forum and provides support to many agencies in an advisory role. She additionally sits on many governing boards and is a visiting faculty to many educational institutions. Within Pakistan, she is also a voice to catalyze change at the broader governance level as a columnist in Pakistan's largest English newspaper.
Internationally, Sania Nishtar's scope of work has several dimensions. She is a member of many Expert Working Groups and Task Forces of the World Health Organization and is currently a member of the board of the International Union for Health Promotion and the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research. She is also a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council, the Clinton Global Initiative, the Ministerial Leadership Initiative for Global Health and many other international initiatives. She has formerly been on several international Boards, and has chaired several global campaigns and programs. She has also been an advisor to WHO on numerous occasions, has published over 100 journal articles and is the author of 6 books. Her book on Health Reform entitled 'Choked Pipes' will be released by Oxford University Press in February 2010.
She speaks to audiences around the world and has been extensively published in and quoted in the media. Sania Nishtar is the recipient of Pakistan's Sitara-e-Imtiaz (presidential honour), the European Societies Population Science Award, 16 gold medals and many accolades of the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge and the American Biographical Center. Sania Nishtar holds a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and a Ph.D from Kings College, London.
Mr. Jawed Akhtar Bhatti

Mr. Jawed Akhtar Bhatti is the Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Trading Co. and is elected as President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce Industry. He is also Member Board of Governor, RDA Rawalpindi, Life Member All of Pakistan China Friendship Association, and Member of All Pakistan Auto Parts Association. He remained SVP of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the year (2003 to2004), Executive Committee Member for the year (2003 to 2006), Chairman / Member RCCI various standing committee. He visited many countries such as USA, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India, and Turkey.
He was nominated as Board of Directors IESCO Islamabad by the Government of Pakistan in October, 2011.
Mr. Muhammad Khalid Qureshi

Mr. Muhammad Khalid Qureshi is a member of Islamabad Chamber and Commerce & industry. He has been the Chief Coordinator of C.B.R Employees Cooperative Housing Society Islamabad from 2004 to 2008 and also remained Project Director of same organization. Currently he is performing as Director General of C.B.R Employees Cooperative Housing Society Islamabad since 2011. As prominent businessman of Islamabad he possesses ample knowledge of current affairs, administration and social activities. As regard his social activities he is also General Secretary, Wafaqi Anjuman–e-Shehryan, Islamabad. His nomination on IESCO Board of Directors was made by Government of Pakistan in February – 2011.
